ALPIN8 begins on the afternoon of June 21, 2024 with the start number distribution and briefing. The 36 (and 20) hours of the Challenge run on Saturday and Sunday. Afterwards, we would like to celebrate together at the fade-out in the early evening with drinks and snacks and review the event. Here you will receive your finisher gift, medal and certificate.
12:00 – 16:30: Distribution of starting documents at the Hotel Walliserhof
17:00 – 18:00: Briefing 1 at the Hotel Walliserhof
18:30 – 19:30: Briefing 2 at the Hotel Walliserhof
Due to the large group, we will probably offer two briefings. You will find out which briefing you are assigned to at the start number distribution.
04:30 am: Drop off your bag for the bag depot at the valley station of the Palüdbahn (Innertal 58, 6708 Brand bei Bludenz)
05:00 am: Start of the Challenge! From now on, the 20 hours (EVERESTY, 4424 vertical meters) and 36 hours (EVERESTING, 8848 vertical meters).
01:00 (at night): End of the 20 hours for the EVERESTY Challenge (4424 vertical meters)
17:00: End of the 36 hours for the EVERESTING Challenge (8848 vertical meters)
18:00 – 20:00: Fade-out with ceremony, drinks and canapés at the Hotel Walliserhof
Let’s celebrate your achievement together! At the end of the 36 hours, we all meet up again on the terrace of the Walliserhof and bring the Everesting to a close together.
Here you will receive your medal, certificate and finisher gift. So please plan to be there for the fade-out before you travel home.
There will also be drinks and tasty snacks.
Here is our official ALPIN8 packing list. See them as a suggestion that you can use as a guide. Ultimately, only you know what equipment you need for successful Everesting! Mandatory equipment is a cell phone/smartphone and a headlamp. Both must always be sufficiently charged.
There will be a bag depot in the Summit Camp where you can store a change of clothes and personal items. The bag depot is only accessible to participants and the ALPIN8 team.
Please make sure that your bag max. 30 liters is large, as light as possible and marked with your name on the outside. You will receive additional stickers with your race number in your starter bag.
Please do not leave any valuables in your bag. ALPIN8 accepts no liability.
There will be four refreshment stations at ALPIN8, which will be staffed 24/7. Here is a list of what to eat and where. If you want more food in addition to this offer or know that you need specific gels or bars, please bring them yourself.

There will be no opportunity to lie down and sleep peacefully on our event site. We do have sun loungers and benches to rest on at Summit Camp, but there are no proper sleeping facilities. So if you want to sleep during the 36 hours of Everesting, we recommend that you go to your accommodation. Or you can walk through the night and not sleep – that works too, of course 😉
