Jennifer came to ALPIN8 through her boyfriend Florian after hearing about it on the trail running podcast. Florian had been thinking about taking part for a while and once he had decided, Jennifer spontaneously said yes. A decision that would shape the next 10 weeks – because that’s how little time the two of them had to prepare for their Everesting with ALPIN8. “The training was just great!” says Jennifer. She has never regretted the spontaneous decision, but has given herself fully to the new challenge.
After her successful participation in ALPIN8 Everesting, Jennifer has now come full circle as she herself is a guest on Sascha’s trail running podcast and talks about her experience.
Jennifer talks enthusiastically about her preparation and how she was out in the mountains every weekend with her boyfriend Florian, gaining altitude meters. She talks about her previous trail running experience and how she injured her Achilles tendon some time ago. She takes us to her work as a physiotherapist and tells us about her specialization in foot health, which is why she also has a lot to do with trail runners in her job.
Jennifer’s enthusiasm for her work, for the mountains, for exercise and ultimately for Everesting can be heard in every sentence she utters. Her likeable nature is infectious and we find it infectious: Her experience at ALPIN8 makes you want to do your own Everesting in an authentic way.
The podcast also covers her tips for choosing the right shoes, the number of socks she used at the event and why sour gummy bears are part of every challenge for her. We hope you find the conversation between Jennifer and podcast host Sascha as inspiring as we do and enjoy the hour Jennifer takes you into her world. Have fun with it!
